How to choose confidently

Begin with where and how often the garment will be worn. A riding-inspired jacket, an everyday fashion jacket and a winter coat can look similar in a photo but differ substantially in leather weight, lining, movement and layering room. Read the product-specific information rather than assuming every item in the collection is constructed the same way.

Size labels are not universal. Compare the product’s chest, shoulder, sleeve and back-length measurements with a jacket that already fits you. If a measurement table has not yet been entered, request the exact figures from the product page. When between sizes, the larger option usually allows more layering; the smaller may create a closer fashion fit.

Leather is a natural material, so grain and tone can vary. Lambskin is commonly softer and lighter, cowhide is commonly more substantial, goatskin balances suppleness and resilience, and suede has a brushed surface that needs particular care. These are general characteristics—the listing should identify the exact material.

For motorcycle use, check the protection disclosure on the individual product. Styling, padding or heavy leather does not by itself mean a jacket is certified protective equipment. Confirm armour pockets and any claimed certification before relying on a garment for protection.
